In Torah, ha-Sheim promises kipur exclusively to Jews (and geirim) who do their utmost to live according to the precepts of Torah—"with all your heart and with all your nephesh (psyche, soul)." Even for these, kipur was granted only upon teshuvah (ceasing transgressing and making repentance) from any transgressions of Torah. Any addition is a transgression prohibited by Torah and, therefore, cannot be the teaching of the Mashiakh defined by—and dependent for authenticity upon—Torah.
